Virtual programming coming to PEI’s military families

Margaret MacKenzieMy name is Margaret Mackenzie, virtual program coordinator for PEI MFRC, and this is my very first time blogging, ever. Yeah! Celebrate the Learning!

Virtual programming is all about connecting with CAF families in Prince Edward Island and around the globe and accessing important information from the comfort of your home computer (regardless of your posted location or the weather!).

We’ve been rolling out virtual programming across the country, so, while it is new to PEI, it’s not new to me! Some of the programs I’ve worked on include:

  • Scholarships—Tips on Finding the Hidden Dollar
  • Virtual coffee mornings
  • Virtual deployment connections
  • Virtual book club

We even once hosted a virtual weight wellness program!

How does it work?

Well, virtual programs are set in an interactive classroom with lots of opportunity for laughter and collaboration.

What information would you like to see as a virtual program? Share your thoughts here, or, for more information, you can email me at virtual.mfrcPEI [at] gmail [dot] com

Our world is a small planet—enjoy the connections!
