Summary: The Prince Edward Island Military Family Resource Centre is on its Tip-to-Tip Tour this summer, bringing awareness of its services to Island families from east to west.
(CHARLOTTETOWN PE) July 14, 2015 – Staff of the PEI Military Family Resource Centre (PEI MFRC) is on its second annual Tip-to-Tip Tour, travelling across the province attending events in many communities, including Souris, O’Leary, Murray River, Alberton, Kensington, Summerside, St. Peter’s, Dundas, and Charlottetown. Events are being updated on the PEI MFRC calendar on their website.
The PEI Military Family Resource Centre exists to offer services, information, and support to the family members of Prince Edward Island’s military members. This tour gives the MFRC a way to connect with islanders who don’t live close to either its main office in Charlottetown or any of the satellite offices in Summerside, Cardigan, and Alberton, and to just connect with the Island community.
Executive Director of the PEI MFRC, Donna Earl, says, “We’re happy to get out and participate in the great community events happening through the summer. We encourage all Islanders to come say hello when they see us out and about, especially members of military families or anyone with a military connection. We love chatting with new friends, and we also have all kinds of information and swag to give away throughout the Tip-to–Tip tour.”
